I went dancing
dancing is nice
but I ended up annoyed because New Person
and now I don't know if there's any reasonable grounds for annoyance
or if its just because New
and I'm tired.

but dancing was nice
and shopping happened
and I probably have enough foods.

Went to Bollywood Sparkles, did a dancing, didn't crunch
:-)

Then did a shopping. Couldn't remember what I wanted so bought everything. Remembered on way home, and still hadn't bought :eyeroll:

I did buy a new ice cream scoop because the old one has gone a bit peculiar looking, and a new egg cooker and some soft things for getting the eggs with, because as it turns out sticking a knife in a plastic is not optimal and leads to many scratched bits. So I have more things to cook eggs with. Eggcellent.

Dancing was Outside today.

Which means the floor is all rough and variable, and there's almost no space, so backing up means backing into the road bit. I know we're on school grounds and it's just a drive to a car park, but there were two cars, and I do not like it.

Also it is harder to remember the dance when your feet so not trust the floor and you have to keep watch for cars.

I know it was hot, but I dislike this solution, especially since the sound was all wrong and the air made my throat hurt from all that green outsideness.

But we did a bunch of learnings and we did the dance where we step forwards and back into the gaps in the line and there were indeed gaps in the line. So we win at dancing.

Sainsburys shopping was good, Asda no longer has five alive in their website, and I can't find anywhere else at all at all to buy it. Big sulk. But I have a bunch of Ribena so I guess that will have to do for the rest of ever.

I'm actually in a pretty good mood but that's cause I filed the sulking away on the way to the next thing. Which is a useful skill.

Hope everyone had nice days.

I did not dance at the voting place
but I voted and then went dancing
which is a good way to deal with the stress, I feel.

Dancing lessons are good but busy full of dances I didn't learn or have mostly forgotten. But we always do more of the main dance, so I'm learning that better every week. Dancing is fun, being in error is less fun but still tolerable with all this practice.

ASDA still says unavailable on my juice drinks, so only Sainsburys shopping happened. I nearly bought some new trousers but need more thinking. I bought many foods and can once again choose between several meals :-)

now to wait
and theoretically sleep
but really stay up to see results.

but at least I have good foods and ribenas for while I do.
beccaelizabeth: my Watcher tattoo in blue, plus Be in red Buffy style font (Default)
I went to dancing again :-)
we have reached the end of the dance!
... this is not functionally equivalent to 'we have learned a whole new dance' due to the it with getting lost and zigging when zag is required, but *in theory* we have reached the end of a whole new dance!

So that is fun :-)

Also we are learning a second dance but the teacher got her lefts and rights mixed up and then tried again and then my feets had things all backwards, even including the bit I already knew. So. Not quite there yet.

ASDA continues not to have my juice. Boo.

But Sainsburys continues to have many foods. Not my vegetables today, because they were on special offer, but that just means if I run out of one sort I'll have to eat the other. I have many foods and I remembered the hand wash and I stared at many things.

Exciting.

Thursday achieved.

Every time I read something about cultural appropriation I start thinking
maybe going to Bollywood dance lessons with only one asian person, who is not the teacher, is kind of tacky
and I conclude
yes, yes it is
but I'm going to keep going anyway because it's the only sort of exercise I've ever been able to stick with,
and other dancing involves like looking at each other and holding hands and stuff.
which, no.
so.

Like, I'm not saying my need for exercise make it somehow shiny
I'm just going to go.

this is an unsatisfying conclusion
which is why I have this thought loop a lot.
beccaelizabeth: my Watcher tattoo in blue, plus Be in red Buffy style font (Default)
I went Dancing.
Dancing is good.
I did a lot of sitting down too, because most of it was practicing to perform at a handfasting, which I don't do, and I hadn't learned most of the dances.

Also I do not do the stick dance because too much potential for crunching.

But then we went shopping and I found a cute top for super much money off, so I think I win at today.
beccaelizabeth: my Watcher tattoo in blue, plus Be in red Buffy style font (Default)
I went to dancing :-)
It didn't hurt :-)
Until somewhere in the cooldown stretches when it hurt all the way from the top of my hip on down, which was nasty, and I swore a bit out loud in class, which obviously one tries not to do.
It's weird though, everything is fine until it isn't, and it's hard to figure when it isn't, except getting in and out of the car. Maybe my sitting down hurts. boo.

But the shopping worked good and I have four movies because they were a fiver each and most of them said Classic. So they probably won't be very good by current standards but I've heard of them whenever other things copy them, so they'll be interesting.

now I'm going to eat real food with vegetables, because I rather forgot all day.
beccaelizabeth: my Watcher tattoo in blue, plus Be in red Buffy style font (Default)
Dancing was good and we learned some more dance and are now precisely half way through
yaay

Mr P was there for the first time in aaaaaaaaages so everyone was :-)
but then he sat too close to my employee because trying to be friendly but she would rather he was friendly from an arms length away so she was not smiles.

he remembered me to say hi to though
and we remembered the dances
so those bits were good.

shopping also worked and I have fifteen five alive :-)

now i get to eat food and all is good.
beccaelizabeth: my Watcher tattoo in blue, plus Be in red Buffy style font (Default)
I did dancing, including attempting to learn part of a dance a lot more quickly than usual, and I got quite a lot of it. I like dancing :-)

And then there was shopping. Not enough juices so I substitued ribena, which maybe might work. But Sainsburys has new clothes season sales, so I got another nice plain black top for half price, and it was already pretty cheap.

Also I bought Rogue One, though it was sold out in its right place on the shelf, because someone had put one where Game of Thrones ought to be. Also there were many on a display later, but I thought finding it was funny.

... my life so fascinate...

I like Thursdays
beccaelizabeth: my Watcher tattoo in blue, plus Be in red Buffy style font (Default)
I went to the dancings but it did not work out very well.
I was dizzy and did sitting down dancing instead, which doesn't work very well.
I think being awake since 0530ish is not compatible with dancing.

but it should be, because dancing usually makes feel better.

I did shoppings and bought a yoga mat as well as the usual foods. I have put it under all the exercises I have taped to the bookcase. It will make me feel like I'm making progress towards this exercise thing.

I tired now.

But I did all the things I set out tom albeit slowly and feeling blergh, and that's the best some days get.
beccaelizabeth: my Watcher tattoo in blue, plus Be in red Buffy style font (Default)
I went to dancing lessons again. Today there were Many of people so I couldn't stand in my usual spot and ended up in front of the reflecting surfaces so I could see me dancing. I do not look like I think I look. And I do not like watching me dancing, then I'm watching and not dancing. But I did the dances more or less correctly, so that part was nice.

Then there was shopping, but in reverse order because the A47 was closed so we had to go the back way past ASDA. I don't know how long it usually takes to do all the things but today it took 3.5 hours, which was at least half an hour more than I wanted to be awake.

I woke up at midnight and have had only a couple hours sleep before the dancing. Not optimal.

I was thinking about Legends of Tomorrow, and in order for the writers to payoff the story they've set up, the saving the world at the end of the season has to
be Mick
being trusted
by the team
and by his partner, who he talks to and communicates with like he said before
and hopefully talks around into something approaching heroism
so they do Mick's plan that he thought of with his brain.

Whether or not he survives it rather depends on the writers attitudes to heroism and happy endings, so I am a teensy bit tense.

If they resolve it without those ingredients we will be grumpy. Because we will have had all these feels for Mick set up and then not paid off.

But that might happen, because you never know whose story writers think it is.

I'm also not optimistic on people getting their loved ones back, because while it is a time travel show kicked off by Rip wanting his loved ones back, it seems to be more about embracing time's arrow and moving on. Like with the Flash, bringing people back is not the desirable goal, being okay without them is instead.

But it's comics so plenty of people come back eventually, so I want my favourites, obviously.

Shall see really soon now.
beccaelizabeth: my Watcher tattoo in blue, plus Be in red Buffy style font (Default)
I had a nice Thursday with dancing but forgot to write it down, so here's a backdated entry.

There was a baby, being small and staring a lot. We must baffle babies often.
beccaelizabeth: my Watcher tattoo in blue, plus Be in red Buffy style font (Default)
we were so bad when we tried the newest dance at the start of class. so bad. it was hilarious.
the people we usually copy were not there and the teacher did not do the dance, so she could see how we did.
we did very little...

But an hour later we were back up to 55 seconds of correct dance, so that was big win. much learning.

my hip is doing something uncomfortable, orsort of over my hip, but my back is much better. so that's nice.

shopping mostly worked, but my apple trellis pastries was not there.
i think it is just as well
buying a packet of biscuits yesterday evening and eating them all by this evening is not behaviour to be rewarded.

but I have nice proteins and bread and vegetable soups and many nice meals for the week.
winning.

... I went to type this, the page jumped, I marked all my messages as read.
which is far from the worst thing that could have happened, but still. 83 pages, now all same.

ANYway

I win
I went to dancing, and while not speedy and a bit wobbly, I danced the whole time
and then I did my shoppings.

I'm kind of headachey
and my hallway smells a bit not good from some of the new stuff

but I did all the thursday things, so yaays.
beccaelizabeth: my Watcher tattoo in blue, plus Be in red Buffy style font (Default)
I like dancing even though I'm really not very good at it.
I didn't remember the new dance, and there's a bit on the middle where even if I do remember my feet don't do the things, but I have a lot of fun anyway.
Also my back no longer hurts, pretty much, and I can do dancing for the whole length of the lesson with no extra sitting downs.

:-)

Shopping was also excellent. ASDA had twenty four juices again so now I have Many and shopping there is optional for ages. Sainsburys had the nice foods as usual, except for my breakfast teacakes, those were empty so I got a dofferent sort that might not be correct. Shall see.

:-)

I am in a plenty good mood.
Meditating and dancing seems to work pretty good.

Also I did a ton of laundry today and it mostly worked as intended. One set of drying did not in fact dry; I think it needs to cool down before the sensor knows what it's meant to do. But that set is in the dryer again now so with any luck it should work.

I don't think the laundry smells the same though, even though we made the packets match quite carefully. I dislike when things just get changes and there's no options about it.

I did laundry all afternoon while I also slept, so I woke up and changed the settings or took stuff out and put stuff in and then went back to sleep. Efficient ;-)

Pretty good day.
beccaelizabeth: my Watcher tattoo in blue, plus Be in red Buffy style font (Default)
Thursday almost worked.
I had to stop at Morrisons to get Ribena cause i ran out of drinks slightly before shopping hour.
And then there was an accident on the a47 and it went all jam for a while
so I got to dancing one quarter hour late.
I am not very good at remembering dances and cannot turn them around in my head if i start from a different place
but i have fun.

asda had twelve of five alive, yaay
and sainsburys had food, though setting out to refill my fridge only ended up with half a dozen items.
i need more varieties of meals.

but now i have apple pastry and all is :-)

exhausted

I went to dancing and it was fun. I know more dances than I think, but not as well as I'd like.

I got all wore out though. All the way up to All Done without actually being done. It was weird feeling tearful and cheerful at the same time.

I finished the shopping though so that worked out. And then I made large food, because I forgot to eat today except biscuit, which probably explains a lot.

I am sooooooo tired. I was just on autopilot to finish eating.

Next I should sleep. But that involves getting out of this chair to go to bed...

Dancing :-)

Today I was going to do double dancing but my back hurt last week so this week didn't seem like a time to double my exercise.
But I did one hour of dancing lessons and it was fun. We started a new dance, and it involves quite a lot of traveling around the floor, which always leads to laughing and bumping and oops. But it stayed fun oops, so, that was fun.

Then it was shopping time. Asda had all of three Five Alive. I guess I bought all the juice that time I got twenty four. It would be nice if their computer could learn I want nine to twelve every week, but I guess it can't if there are not nine to twelve to buy every week, and I keep pouncing on twenty four. So.

Sainsburys had my apple thing though, and bread and quorns and tea for mum, and also a silver top for half price that will do nicely for the convention next month. Also there's another set of china that I like the look of. It's like I've had for years only probably nicer. But now I am home I remembered I was planning to get two different colors this time, and this would be two of blue. But it is nice. And it has nice pasta bowls too, interesting shapes. I shall think on it.

Now I am tired.

But I have nice foods for eating. I win.

The thing that bugs me about dance is how gendered it can be. I mean, a song comes on, the DJ says girls on one side guys on the other, and even if he is clear we’re just choosing sides for the length of the song and anyone can stand anywhere, it’s still sides. I stay seated. Cause otherwise I’d be dancing somewhere in the middle.

I went looking on youtube and I found

official vid of sort of dance we're trying to do
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B9qfTdOQVcM Chammak Challo

video of actual people from dance class
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N-eQ67fnZn8

and another one with a song I don't know
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fnGLx1NamxU

I worry sometimes about cultural appropriation but it's a sort of dance which so far I can so, so, is fun.
beccaelizabeth: my Watcher tattoo in blue, plus Be in red Buffy style font (Default)
It was the last dance class of the year so we did dressing up and trying lots of old dances. Teacher reckoned I wouldn't know them, because been away long and long. But I knew seven dances :-)
... not well enough to figure where my feet go. or where I should be moving around the floor to, so I did mostly sitting down dancing, but still, I have studied Many, and would only need to polish the memory up a bit.

I wore long gloves with the shinies down the side, and a waist scarf with jangly coins. I do not have xmas costume. Nut others were a nun or... well, one person brought a whole bag and changed between dances, over the top of a batgirl with a cape, so there was not really an overarching theme.

Teacher gave us all cards and presents :-)
I shall find out what present on present opening day.
but, present :-)

Asda was adequate, Sainsbury's had my foods, and I found the paper tablecloth I need for xmas, with gold stars.

Pretty good day.
beccaelizabeth: my Watcher tattoo in blue, plus Be in red Buffy style font (Default)
Dancing again today. I couldn't quite concentrate. Also sometimes felt a bit like on remote control. Boo. I usually like dancing. But I didn't crunch anyone today so I still winning.

I was thinking what dance Mick Rory might get into.

Maybe morris? Big blokes, beer, and big sticks. Plus I found some on youtube calling itself a fire dance, but since they were just wearing black and orange tatter coats rather than actually on fire he may find that disappoint.

ASDA had only 3/12 the five alive I wanted, Sainsburys hadn't got my apple pastry though they did apologise plenty good, and they don't sell some of the first aid stuff I was look for neither. Also I forgot my penguin bag because driver was ten minute early so I didn't get all the freezer things neither. not a very successful.

but i'm home safe so that's okay.
beccaelizabeth: my Watcher tattoo in blue, plus Be in red Buffy style font (Default)
dancing was nice
we have learned the whole of the new dance and are now trying to be good at it
which takes a bunch of work.

shopping worked. five alive worked. apple pastry worked. plenty of pasta. And Sainsburys sell a sparkly loo seat, so hopefully this third one will go on and not be broken. loo seats are ridiculous.

I was so tired this morning I had to stop before the end of the fic, when they'd done the Daring Adventure and the Horrible Misunderstanding and they were ready for the Happily Ever After. So I have that to look forwards to.

but right now I get to eat apple trellis :-)
beccaelizabeth: my Watcher tattoo in blue, plus Be in red Buffy style font (Default)
I can do the dance to Twist and also the new dance we been working on since I turned up and I don't crash in to anyone and I mostly remember it and for bonus points I didn't need any extra sittings down.

I now appear to have done something slightly painful to my... side above my hip? maybe? somewhere slightly vague that only happens when I do an improbable sort of turn and lift. lovely.

and shopping didn't work very well. Five of five alive is only okay because I have a reserve built up, and there was no apple pastry put aside, which I am disproportionately :( about. also I didn't get the bread I wanted because it wasn't there. and a few other bits like that. silly frustrations.

but i have plenty of foods, yaays.

and I did dancing and I'm getting okay at it :-)
