Fire Watch

I was failing at sleep (attempting to wind down just leading to panic zaps about how nothing is secure ever)
so I picked up The Time Traveller's Almanac and read another story.
Like many in the Almanac I've read it before, but I'm glad to have it collected, because it's a definite classic on the theme.

That is a lot of a story.

I find I do not want to summarise it, because I don't think it can say it shorter, really.
But the image of them setting out to save St Paul's over and over again, night after night... that'll stay with you.

Today I am feeling the sort of vaguely unwell where I wouldnt cancel anything for it but dont feel enthusiastic about doing anything either.
Meh.

Played Sims a bit but aparently ressurection is tricky so have not achieved it yet. Got the ake baked, but need to be in control of the ghost. Boo.




Typing on this touchscreen is annoying because it either ignores everal letters or does some weird thi my... thing, by inserting whole words, probably not at random but in a way I cant figure out or see how to turn off. Makes it pretty useless really. *sigh*

This has not been one of the more interesting days.
