I am writing a book--actually, I am just about 3,500 words away from having written a book, omg--and I am very concerned, in general, with trying not to have skeevy gender and race stuff in it. So... I was thinking, since you are really good at teasing that stuff out of things, would you maybe be interested in reading my first draft when it's complete, which should be by the end of today or tomorrow?
It's around 80,000 words (about mid-range novel-length) and it's about two actors on a sci-fi television show falling in love and then having to deal with the fall-out of trying to be famous, gay, and in one of their cases, closeted. Yes, it sounds like RPS, but it's completely original fiction (not just name-changed RPS...) and I am, at this point, hoping it might be a "real" book someday.
So... let me know! Because I would really appreciate it, but I understand if you're not interested. :)
