Book and audio
Yesterday and today I have been reading
Interim Errantry 2: On Ordeal by Diane Duane
the paper copy from Amazon, since it turns out I'm not much for reading the ebooks, since I still have to make the ebook reader go somehow.
paper never needs new software or loses a cable.
There are four (4) stories in it about 4 wizards first errantry, their Ordeal, where they make big choices and see what magic can do. All of them are very well written and fun and have a good heart, even the one about aliens that eat others of their own kind. Which takes some work. And I loved the Owl story at the end.
When I finished reading that and slept I listened to an audio
Torchwood: Curios
which in some ways managed to be the least disturbing story about Bilis thus far but still had some plenty dark corners. I liked it.
And I liked the chatty bit at the end. Comparing acting technique between Murray Melvin, 89 according to wiki, and a young lady who said she was straight out of acting school. Both do their homework.
... I'd vaguely imagined just sort of turning up and reading it out, but I can see how knowing what you're doing makes it better...
Good stories all.
