Huh. I really *liked* "Masks", but then I'm nuts about mythology, especially mythologies where the sun is feminine and the moon masculine.

I also liked "Thine Own Self", because Data wanders into a medieval village, gets befriended by a little girl, and then the villagers come out and chase him with torches, and I'm a sucker for old monster movies. *Especially* FRANKENSTEIN and BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN. ;-)

Although, the fact that I must have been about twelve when I saw those episodes might account for their remembered awesomeness...
