Okay
this last section has been through more rewrites than the entire rest of the story
and I still worry about it
so, constructive criticism welcome
or, you know, feared. but still useful.


also, if you hate what I've done to Giles, I totally understand that. But I mostly need to know if I've done it plausibly.

I have a whole bunch of Giles goes off to have a crisis on his own stories planned, you see, and everyone was figuring him for the center of the Watcher world, so, I wanted to say why I didn't think so. Only I think I hid the math. Possibly too well.


Finally - I know there is a very long way between "excuse me, you seem suicidal or insane, assuming you aren't actually a demon" and "here, be the boss of everything!" There is a second story, Wesley's story, waiting to be told to fill in the gaps. He does great things. In my head the two series run one after the other, like Buffy and Angel used to. Ripper and Watcher. Or possibly there is a set of TV movies. But they definitely start with Wesley's story.

So, logically I write that one next.
It just might take a while.
