About a certain line Jack said right near the beginning in the rain
"not doing that again" is leading everyone to squee canon!MPREG
am I the only one who was thinking transsexual!Jack?
Because, women get pregnant. And Jack might have been a woman for a while. And that, to me, would be much more fun an idea.
But, hey, MPREG works too, specially since there's an implication pregnancy is still an option, with the usefulness of contraceptive rain now.
Or, of course, he could be still a hermaphrodite.
I don't know, has he ever specifically said he was male?
also, someone on their LJ said Is this the place to note that Jack really is more talk than walk on his sluttiness?
Well if he can still get pregnant and the only contraceptive he's taking is in the rain, small wonder...
How would a herm from the future get appropriate medical care?
I mean, even without the gender aspects, he's got to be feeling like he's living in the stone age. Whatever contraceptives they use in the future they can't be getting into the water like that or he wouldn't find it so distasteful.
He's used to having a ship full of shiny that heals everything.
now he has a kind of self shiny that heals everything, so for most things medical care is not a problem, for his own self.
... Although, he made Carys go shiny too. Was that her power working or his? Because if he can share the Immortality bit... er, sexual healing would be bad fanfic, yes? Except for the thing that healing-with-kissing is what the Doctor did already, and this spin off is the more adult version... Oh dear...
ANYways
making everything to work properly forever would include making reproductive systems to work properly forever, and that might not be always what he wanted.
I'm crossing over with Highlander themes like mad here. If he's Immortal but fertile, then he has massive extra angst, because of the whole outliving his offspring thing.
Also, if he is Immortal, we don't know how long it has been for him since the last time we saw him. Could be ages. He could be Methos. I don't think so, but we lack data.
BTW, not only is Jack an Immortal, he's apparently a Sentinel too, if he can taste that.
I need to icon some Torchwood symbols, make them rainbows too.
