TW bunny post TW 2-02 and DW LotTL

I was thinking I didn't like this ep so much because it was so very about the guest character and not so much about the regulars.

Then I had a thought about Jack. He was captured by an insane telepathic expert in mind control for a whole year. So far, nobody has questioned that he's still the same old happy bouncy resilient Jack. But... he wouldn't necessarily know...

Interesting btw that his team went from 'something's taken him' to 'you left us' while he was away. They must have figured out after we saw them. But also interesting that they had the incredibly dodgy guy to distract them from wondering if they should trust Jack now. And by the second episode he's back in command unquestioned. Nice.

Perhaps he left them a note
'got appointment with doctor. may be some time.'

Did any of the stuff with Saxon happen? I mean they DID go to the Himalayas, did they see that Jack was on the most wanted list? Did they see the Assassination of the US prez? Did they see Jack in the background? There's so much that we don't know.

And when I saw the torture in 2X2 of TW, I kept thinking: Jack's tortured before (he said so himself), he's been tortured (The Master) and he had to stand by and watch his best friend be tortured. Man does some of his life revolve around torture, and maybe in a way it's all he knows. He's a soldier, he's got his eye on the prize and this is the only way he knows.

The idea that he's not 100% (and he SHOULDN'T BE- he was tortured for a year!) is interesting, but I doubt TW will deal with it or any ramifications. Maybe when Martha comes along we'll have a mention or two, but that's basically the best we can hope for.
