Northfork is a very strange film. I still don't know if I like it. Full of parts and pieces it is. Very interesting.

Robin Sachs - I want his voice. I could listen to him say anything. I want to wrap myself up in his voice. Its just that good, like it should have texture.
This is not news but is a pleasant surprise every time I hear him on proper sound system instead of just my tinny speakers.
Sounds good.

Had a dream that Robin Sachs had already done a downloadable audiobook. Was about to click the 'order' button when I realised it was a dream and I should probably double check what page I was on when I woke up...

This is what happens when I fall asleep wondering how much it would cost to get him to read a short story. If I left all the names out of it I could make it sneaky fanfic even. *ponders*

1. Grab the nearest book. Don't search for something cool. Grab what's actually closest to you.
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the sentence in your own journal along with these instructions.

Buffy's generic hybridity and tonal variation make it all the more difficult to isolate 'violent incidents' in the show.

My desk is set up for Cultural Studies reference at the moment. But since my desk is right in front of my major non-fic bookcase, next to the first fantasy bookcase and has as one support the reading it now bookcase 'nearest' is always going to be a bit contestable even if everything is tidied away. Nearest to reach without turning? Right in front of me, non-fic, starting with the outsize art reference. Nearest with turning? Couple inches to the left, fantasy ABC. Nearest to my feet? Reading in progress, random assortment. And of course all the ebooks on my computer are technically nearer than any of that, just not so much grabable.
