Did the dancing successfully
and it was costume day today
so I got to wear a cape :-D

... I realise all days are cape days if you feel like it, but still.

Turns out I and the teacher both shop at Sainsburys and bought the same costume
so I swapped the hat for a headband from morrisons with a sparkly veil on
which also dances better

there are photos but they will be on the class facebook

I was still wearing a black hat under the headband, because me, so the final effect is distinctive

also I got to wear the long gloves with the sparklies on
which are for special occasions too.

I have a small chocolate from a cauldron around here somewhere, so that's fun as well.


... less fun was I kicked the vacuum cleaner in the hall on accident and the whole little toe side of that foot is like Nope so I had to rebalance on the big toe side to do the dancing and now many places are feeling it, but that worked pretty okay.



Shopping worked, except no five beans snap pots, and no quorn mince.

I did get Good Omens :-D



So now I know what I'll be doing this weekend.



Excellent day.

And now back to the NationStates zombie game...

I do not like the current dance. Too many quick weird moves. But I went and I am learning and I only took two more breaks than everyone else but mostly because drink breaks are good.

Shopping was also achieved. I wore my newish yellow dress and today I found the same one only red, so now I have two out of three Star Trek colors, though the shades aren't precise. I already know I like this dress so is good.

Now I am Most Tired. But that was an okay evening.

Today's dancing and shopping was achieved. On the way home I thought I'd left my gloves there but they were in the bag instead. So that was okay.

My exciting life.

This morning I dreamed I was at a convention with my two long term boyfriends, Oz from Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Rory the Roman from Doctor Who. Werewolf dating a plastic man, kind of makes sense, he can't turn him. I think I had magic? I usually do. Either that or we just went to science fiction conventions together. We were at one of our regular events and some young men caught up with Oz and one said Oz was his dad. Which was plausible, in dream, because Oz had been a wild man in the 90s. ... we were making all these werewolf jokes in front of the mundanes, obviously we were hilarious. And then someone wanted to talk to me, and he looked like thirty, so I was all "... does future me learn time travel?" And he was blinky and said no. Which is a suspicious answer, if you think about it.

As plots go it had the standard for me thing where the fire alarm goes off and everyone has to use the stairs which is clearly a challenging disaster. But I feel it had more interesting plot elements in there. What with a two thousand year old soldier-nurse dating a werewolf and a possibly-witch.

Kind of don't want to steal Oz and Rory from their canon endings though.
Except it's kind of weird that plastic Rory and human Rory are the same guy? Like, he's a copy, and then they reboot from memories, so it would make just as much sense to end up with two of him. But that would be sad. Unless he has a whole bunch of people he made friends with along the way.
... because living that long just to guard a box full of potential alive/dead girlfriend is... odd.
The kind of odd you can absolutely work with in a Buffy context though.



So I woke up and then got diverted thinking about who all else I'd invite to my castle and/or science fiction convention, but now I'm wondering how we were well known enough that people knew to look for us at an event. There's another Rory that could be on the guest of honor lists, but I don't know what Roman Rory would do. ... now I'm thinking stunts... heh...


Dancing is tiring but I have apple pastries to eat. My evening is good.

I went dancing, skipped shopping because delivery yesterday, and got a pizza on the way home
which I just finished eating, which makes this an excellent day.

The fog on the way home was *not excellent*
like at one point there's a wall of white and maybe two catseyes showing and the driver is like
well the satnav says the road is straight.

... then they started talking about these being the worst driving conditions they've ever driven in.

... we were on the A47 and i had no alternate plan so I was just all locked with tension and staring very hard.

I hope next time we figure out it is bad to drive before the actual driving part.


... but dancing was fun, even if I dont know the dances after the long break, and pizza was good.

we have reached the end of the dance!
... this is not functionally equivalent to 'we have learned a whole new dance' due to the it with getting lost and zigging when zag is required, but *in theory* we have reached the end of a whole new dance!

So that is fun :-)

Also we are learning a second dance but the teacher got her lefts and rights mixed up and then tried again and then my feets had things all backwards, even including the bit I already knew. So. Not quite there yet.

ASDA continues not to have my juice. Boo.

But Sainsburys continues to have many foods. Not my vegetables today, because they were on special offer, but that just means if I run out of one sort I'll have to eat the other. I have many foods and I remembered the hand wash and I stared at many things.

Exciting.

Thursday achieved.

I did dancing, including attempting to learn part of a dance a lot more quickly than usual, and I got quite a lot of it. I like dancing :-)

And then there was shopping. Not enough juices so I substitued ribena, which maybe might work. But Sainsburys has new clothes season sales, so I got another nice plain black top for half price, and it was already pretty cheap.

Also I bought Rogue One, though it was sold out in its right place on the shelf, because someone had put one where Game of Thrones ought to be. Also there were many on a display later, but I thought finding it was funny.

I like Thursdays

I had a nice Thursday with dancing but forgot to write it down, so here's a backdated entry.

There was a baby, being small and staring a lot. We must baffle babies often.

The thing that bugs me about dance is how gendered it can be. I mean, a song comes on, the DJ says girls on one side guys on the other, and even if he is clear we’re just choosing sides for the length of the song and anyone can stand anywhere, it’s still sides. I stay seated. Cause otherwise I’d be dancing somewhere in the middle.

I can do the dance to Twist and also the new dance we been working on since I turned up and I don't crash in to anyone and I mostly remember it and for bonus points I didn't need any extra sittings down.

I now appear to have done something slightly painful to my... side above my hip? maybe? somewhere slightly vague that only happens when I do an improbable sort of turn and lift. lovely.

and shopping didn't work very well. Five of five alive is only okay because I have a reserve built up, and there was no apple pastry put aside, which I am disproportionately :( about. also I didn't get the bread I wanted because it wasn't there. and a few other bits like that. silly frustrations.

but i have plenty of foods, yaays.

and I did dancing and I'm getting okay at it :-)

We went to Bollywood Dancings :-)
I have not been for aaaaaages, since August 2012 my tags says, because it moved and I stopped going in to college and I didn't have transport, but now I can get there again
and it is Fun.

... many parts creaky crackled that probably should not have, and there's no way I'll remember much of the dance for next week, but basically it is fun.

And I can go again later :-)
This having an employee again thing is most excellent.

I went to dancing and it was fun :-)
... I had a dizzy and did sitting down dancing for the first bit, but they were going through all the dances we've ever done, for performance, so I wouldn't have remembered them all anyway.
Then I did standing up dancing for when we got to the dances we did recently.

they're going to do a lot of performances soon. They've got like all the weekends in a row for a while. I don't know. I don't do standing up in front of people even for dancing.
... actually, being first or only on the dance floor, I do do that, but it's different when you do it and call it a performance. or indeed when you do it with the lights on.

after we went to Pulse and I had vegan pizza with spinach and mushrooms. I like it. I didn't like the mediterranean vegetables version because you could never know what the next bite would be like, but the spinach and mushroom had a green layer and a mushroom layer and I like it.
they ran out of vegan ice cream though. sad.
but cheaper.

I went dancing again and it was fun :-)
I didn't crunch any people.
These dances get harder.
I can do copying much better than remembering, and when we all have to do slightly different things it is harder.
But still fun.
