Mar. 4th, 2016 06:56 pmI am re-reading one of my favourite books.
It has been awhile, because it was behind some other books.
But I still have it pretty much memorised.
Which, you know, cool, all teh good stuff is still in there, yaay book.
But it means the only things left to notice are the not so yaay bits?
*sigh*
I know they warned us about this going in to the Cultural Studies degree, but I underestimated the impact, because once you've spent 11 years programming your brain to search for isms then lo, isms appear. Every. Time. Even when you were enjoying it.
I remember what the problems were, I can see where they are, can I get back to enjoying my book now?
Though it also does make me want to go write. If that ever turned into a productive impulse that would be a good thing.
