Things that I like about books
Jul. 5th, 2016 10:00 amReal, paper, books
very seldom stop working when you don't use them
have not thus far turned out to be the equivalent of betamax
don't need new equipment to read them on
don't need new software to read them on
and on the whole continue to belong to you without further ado.
My ebooks, on the other hand, may well need replacing, seeing as it's frequently going to be easier to find a tatty paperback of the thing than it is to find an actual functioning readable compatible file of the thing. That doesn't ask for a password I haven't had since the 90s, if then. When I know for a fact I bought them with money.
As for the whole thing with my own writing from back when I used Works instead of Word...
*big freaking sigh*
