beccaelizabethReal time. Nice. And vaguely amusing in intertext ways.
I think I liked it. I mean I wasn't immediately blown away wow about it, but having had a think while they showed the Confidential, there was a lot to like there. More of the good stuff from Martha, and more bits of the Doctor. Plus action and adventure and a swipe at greed and all that traditional DW stuff.
The best bit in the behind the scenes stuff though was that history of DW spaceships bit. That was just awesome. All those models! And telling how to do stuff. I wants that bit for keeping.
... also amusing was DT's bit about how female guest star "also looks good in a vest covered in baby oil. But then who doesn't."
I mean it's a bit *facepalm*, but amusing.
... yeah, I went to a Buffy-esque 'there could be oil' place.
I think it would slightly irritate me that a female captain got a different set of motives than a male typically would except we know a couple of guys who get very similar stories elsewhere. So I don't know.
I want to watch it again and have thoughts about it.
I kind of mostly want to hug the Doctor now.
btw, how skinny is he? I keep wanting to sit him down and feed him. Except he's just built like that, so it probably wouldn't help.
