Aug. 11th, 2007 02:07 amI think I have figured out why I've been in such a Master-sympathising mood lately.
It's that thing where I'm firmly convinced that if I ruled the universe it would work much better.
Insane evil overlords are not made of win.
Even if they are hot.
But... well... when I was little my grandma taught me that when I couldn't get to sleep I should build a house in my head, and decorate it and get it just right and stuff.
Since I've now had insomnia for all my 30 years, my houses got *big*.
In my universe it all makes sense.
... I totally get the Master. Maybe not the version we got shown in the end, but the basic idea.
Flip side, I totally get the Doctor and always have, because he just sort of wanders around and ignores rules on the basis that most of them most of the time are just very silly. And he definitely ignores people who make rules, because they're just silly too. And being the Doctor and therefore brilliant he doesn't need to pay attention to things like don't-go-there and locked doors. And that thing where he maybe sometimes could accidentally therefore walk into a genuinely hazardous area or, for instance, fall down a long way and die, that doesn't bother him half so much as stuff just getting in his way.
... They're both nuts, but, I get it.
