has dilemma

beccaelizabethI really want to go to a convention. By this point I'm not particularly picky about which. I haven't been to a proper party since May and I'm really really bored. Want to dance! Badly and to bad music! Which, okay, I could probably manage in other contexts, but. I want to dress up in silly clothes and meet people who actually know my name and hang out talking TV until daft hours of the morning.
I has classes on Fridays. As far as I can tell, I have classes on all the Fridays that have conventions. Not that I know of many. Gatecon in Reading and Wolf SG12. I've never been to a Gatecon. I don't especially want to meet Stargate actors at the moment. Both cons are less than a month away and I'd have to stay in the con hotel and what are the chances there's even rooms? And they cost money and stuff.
There's only 10 weeks of classes, 20 lessons. Missing 1/20th of a semester to go to a party seems to me unwise.
So I couldn't travel on Friday. I'd get to the Thistle by about 1400 Saturday, if the trains work the same way, which I don't know for sure, and if I don't miss any. I don't know how to get to the other venue, though I'm sure it's possible. So I'd miss most of Saturday and whatever there is on a Friday, ie a party.
So it's not really practical, right? I should stay home?
... I can neither convince myself nor decide to go. Meh.
