It's only the second time I've seen it, and the first without subtitles. So as per usual it felt smoother, less clunky, better timed. And the facial expressions are a delight. Owen has all kinds of conversations with his face. Well, everyone does, but I was noticing how much of his wasn't quite said. Very good acting.
Not very good technology on my end. The sound was utterly frelled the first time he used that bit of alien tech. Then I rewound and it got worse. Then I hit the wrong button and ended up in totally the wrong episode - I need to learn my remote control better, especially with the lights out, I can use the other two in my sleep but I keep tripping up on the new one. But when I was winding and rewinding the sound made a bunch of blippy noises. Which leads me to suspect it's not precisely my nice new box, it's some interaction of box and TV, because why would the box be making any noise at all on rewind?
I'm going to start in on the transcript now. I already know there's words I don't agree with the subtitles on. I was doing a thing where I'dredline them and put my version in next to them, but I got fed up of that on terrible versions of subtitle files and just deleted stuff. But if I remember the word really was on the BBC3 version and still don't agree, does anyone want both versions?
