College iz hard

beccaelizabethI been back only one lesson and already college iz hard!
We had to read between page 30 and page 55, plus a 5 page handout. No problem, right? 30 pages? Easy peasy.
*headdesk*
In an ideal world I could sit down to something and read it and be all done.
In my actual brain? Everything sticks to other things, which is useful and makes clever thoughts and all that, but then my thoughts go sliding off into vaguely connected other topics and I realise I've been staring into space for 20 minutes while accidentally sniffing the highlighter.
Or, today, I find my head is much more interested in who I would recruit to rebuild Torchwood One.
... The inside of my head is a strange, strange place.
*sigh*
okay, so less 'college is hard' and more 'my brain is slippery'.
*sulk*
I told myself I couldn't watch Torchwood until I'd done the reading. I told myself this at lunch time. And yet still I theoretically shouldn't be watching the family edit when it's on.
... oooh, I has transcript, I can compare most precisely which words or sequences are edited.
... okay, I watch.
