Yeah. I mean... if people are writing both DW books and gay erotica, do they really truly divide it up so there's no DW gay erotica? Not if what I've heard of the books is accurate they don't.
I think the distinction their working on says slash is written by silly womens with no knowledge of boy parts. You can see the entire lack of mention of femslash. And claiming DW doesn't need slash cause it does its own... yeah, the subtext is right out there, and they have the Master and UNIT true enough, but we didn't get actual text until Captain Jack. Jumping that gap is what slash does.
Along with some romance novel theory about women writing about men the way they wish they were.

I know there are differences between different cons. The 3 parties and actor on stage type I go to are clearly different to the three parties and panels type I keep meaning to go to, or the no parties and panels type I have heard of, or the no parties and all actor panels one I went to that was kind of puzzling.
But this guy seems to make a distinction between cons, en masse about dressing up, and the rest of the smart fans, who are down the pub.
