Ten hour day for a one hour exhibition...

I finally went and saw the Doctor Who Exhibition at Earl's Court.
I started from my house at 0900, got back at 1900, and was in the Doctor Who bit for approximately one hour.
Methinks my priorities be... interesting.
The employee took an alternative route that turned out to add an hour to our travel time, a bunch of minutes in Norwich, a half an hour as we waved bye bye to one London train and had to wait for the next. And there were delays around Earls Court on the underground, which is difficult to avoid if you want to go to Earls Court. So some time could be shaved off the travel there.
But basically? A ten hour day gives me one hour of looking around at stuff.
*headdesk*
My grand plans, they meet reality, and go splat with exhaustion.
By the time I was done with looking at Slitheen and stuff I was All Done for the day... and still at least three hours away from Norwich, plus a half hour at least before home. Tiredtiredtired. And then dizzy and headachey.
But I'm home now, so that's okay.
The Doctor Who stuff was fun and interesting.
I think I liked best the telescope from Torchwood House.
I also liked anything where you could press a button and make stuff make noises, or move, or in the case of Cybermen do both.
The noises were a bit of a problem when they all happened all at the same time though.
And the lighting was bizarre. I gave up and used my torch for to look at things. That worked.
Why use rainbow lights that would be dim in a club when you're trying to show off interesting things?
Well, partly because when you light them up they look very, er, Doctor Who, but *shrugs*
... also the age makeup masks had been held on with staples. That didn't look comfortable...
But I made K9 talk! Happy now.
And tired. Did I mention that part? Waaaaaay tired.
I think I'll stick to not going to London. NOt going to London seem to work out much better.
I read one of the Greek Tragedy books on the way there, but on the way back my brain was not brainlike, so I read a Terry Pratchett book instead. They had Nation in the WH Smiths on the platform. I got an email that said it's out on the 30th but I guess not. So I'm reading that now.
When you ask for 'big big' of chips at Burger King they believe you.
I don't much like galaxy chocolate any more.
My brain is firing at random.
I go eat protein and drink stuff with less sugar and go sleep.
