RPG and after
Feb. 28th, 2005 03:15 amToday was fun. Made up cyberpunk character, starting with the lifepath. Now have an interesting character I'm fairly sure I'm going to be useless at playing.
Actually to be precise now have 90% of an interesting character. The GM made up the contacts so I have to learn what that is all about. And as of right now the guy is naked, which is a valid style choice in cyberpunk but has more to do with my brain shutting down before the end of the night.
I like making up cyberpunk characters. Theres all the shiny toys to choose. This time he is almost all meat, with just some nifty voice options to play with, some bioware armour and a bone spike. Other times I make characters who are mostly chrome, and have whips, or a whacking great lightning thrower, or maybe fangs and venom. Is fun.
Less fun tho is I'm now unable to sleep, feeling lousy, and sneezing. And my house is cold. I've put the extra heater on and that is making this room warmer but my bedroom will still be not toasty. My feets are cold. Sulk sulk sulk.
I do not like snow weather and I very much do not like being ill. I wasn't sure I was going to manage to go anywheres today. So is good that I did and had fun and all, but is much less good now, when I ache and sneeze.
*cue violin music* :eyeroll: (just sulking dramatically, mostly I function quite adequately, but I'm in the whiny phase of unwell again)
Humans should just function optimally at all times. That is the kind of stuff that really tempts me about cyberpunk, or any RPG system- just buy up extra health points or take immune system boosting nanites or whatever. Of course in the real world there is diet and exercise and all that but even when I was doing my best on that I still got colds and that makes it way less rewarding as an idea, you know?
Even at optimal physical function life would be plenty challenging enough. This week I get to catch up with the consequences of not turning up at college last week. And also whatever we do this week that is new. And also there is some stuff in library books I haven't even started looking at. Methinks I won't get to that.
Really good thing- have discovered foodstuff that is adequate substitute for Sunday pizza and does not make me ill. Broccoli cheese slices. Taste very good.
There is a much smaller version of me making sideways faces at the concept of voluntary ingestion of green stuff. But very much smaller, cause I've liked broccoli for ages. It looks kind of like really small trees, only not crunchy.
0330 doesn't exactly spawn the worlds greatest insights.
I go again :)
