so far there's girl pov obsessed with appearance and physical comparison all city guides are girls but they're not licensed outside and now she's met the partner and there's being apprehensive ... even though they're partners in spaceship building? on the plus side, spaceship building girl. blah, now it's moping and not building spaceship girl saying how career and romance doesn't mix and the story going on to be about how she's moping and not about interesting spaceship things at all. and now the bloke is being all "forbid this" which is creepy
then:
"Ariel? This is still a bad idea." "I know. But we can't let men think they own us." "I suppose not." "They do own us, of course. But we shouldn't let them know it."
/quote *blinks* 'of course'??? ... bad.
I predict they'll crash and he'll crow.
... yeah. *sigh* because clearly if the bloke warns them it's too dangerous then (a) it will be too dangerous and (b) it will be because she's distracted by the bloke through no action of his. Blah.
would it be compromising my ideals to marry him just to keep him happy ???!!!???
also I suppose Hardesty & Hardesty has more rhythm than Jones & Hardesty. It really sounds better.
different society, different words, but still stuck with that? double blah.
well he didn't crow, he was all kissing instead. blah.
yes. that's a silly story. not the worst though. just rather empty.
