I was thinking about the phrase 'going off at a tangent' and how people use it for launching off in weird directions unrelated to the initial impulse. And then I thought that's like orbits, like charting a course in some area of space with sources of gravity. Only everyone's mind has a different solar system, the attractions are in different places and different strengths. So when you push off in a particular direction then people head off in loads of different directions because they're charting courses through different systems.
Also this combines with my thought about racism and sexism and those other isms being like black holes. They're really big accumulations with strong gravity that knock everyone off course unless they consciously correct for it.
But these other things, the ones that look like tangents, they're made up of all the little worlds people have lived in, each unique and individual.
... it's kind of vastly geeky to try and figure out psychology by turning it into orbital physics.
... I'm cool with that.
