beccaelizabethI watched the last episode of Demons. No surprises, it was utter rubbish to the very end. And the ending didn't even make sense. It was like 'wait, we has an ending where Luke just doesn't shoot someone? quick! surprise vampire Mina!' It was rubbish.
The entire series failed the Bechdel test. There were two named female characters, but they got through all the episodes without a single conversation that wasn't about Luke.
And then there was a line from Ruby went something like "I'm not your girlfriend so treat me with a little respect"
??!
The layers of fail in there.
It makes a situation gendered that's mostly about Luke being an arse to everyone, it makes it sound like it would be okay for him to treat her disrespectfully if they were shagging, it... multi fails.
I must write my scripts. They will be better than this. And have actual women in.
And if there's random asian people they'll talk and not just be there to be mysteriously martial artist-y. It's not like martial arts only come from one part of the world anyway.
