college, renaissance, and a cookie
Feb. 10th, 2009 06:58 pmtoday worked as per plan.
... it feels so weird typing that.
Went in to Norwich on the bus I chose. Got a vegetable pasty. Ate it. Went to college. Found the right classroom. Sat and typed and asked questions.
... discovered that the teacher kind of sprays spit when enthusiastic and standing right over me. Shall have to rethink seating. or possibly mention it to her. My computer screen, it does not like the rain.
ANYway
also learned brainy type stuff. Useful quotes. Watched a video about Holbein and renaissance art.
tried to get some of the audio resources out of the library but discovered that (a) what they still have is on audio *tape* and (b) nobody has the hardware to play tapes any more. Classic. So they're ordering CDs. I hope I got it right which things I was looking for. I'll feel all guilty if they spend money on stuff that I typoed.
On the way home I got a cookie.
Also I went into borders and found out what the next book club book is.
Then I went on the bus and listened to the other half of a Doctor Who adventure.
Happy now.
... except for the thing where my computers and my broadband are not cooperating. So now my email is on the computer I just shut down because I can't get it to connect to broadband again, and clearly it *had* broadband for long enough to get all my email, but then it stopped. So now I'm on my laptop again, which is thus far working.
