computer went wonky :(
is there such a thing as shift lock? if so, how do you turn it off??? I don't know why it even turned ON and there wasn't a button and pressing caps lock just made everything small and the punctuation didn't work and it went HORRIBLY HORRIBLY WRONG but hey, sod it, whatever, if he can figure out what the punctuation was meant to be it's readable. probably.
... omg mess mess mess...
not my fault! couldn't fix!
oh drat it, I looked it up, it's one of the accessibility things. I didn't tell it to do that! I can see how it decides to do it on accident but I don't see when it asked me! Bugger bugger bugger.
ANYWAY
I finished the exam.
basically finished.
I get a bunch of extra time but the computer started being a bugger pretty much as soon as it was extra time so I took it for an omen. Also, completely lost my train of thought BECAUSE< EVERYTHING I TYPED< LOOKED LIKE THIS! IT@S REALLY ANNOYING! AND I COULDNT REMEMBER WHAT I WAS TYRING TO SAY ANYWAY>
and then it started typing in the Font box for no readily apparent reason
and I couldn't spell check and I couldn't go back and correct thigns because it just highlighted EVERYTHING and then it closed and I thought it had saved but then it WOULDNT OPEN and then I went out in the corridor and STOMPED AND WENT WAAAAH!!! !!! !!!
for I see no reason to be grown up when the sodding computer has apparently ate my sodding exam.
But! Then I calmed down a bit and my brain started working again, and I tried it a different way. And lo, it had been saved, and lo, it was again open! And then I saved it to memory stick and to My Documents where it was bloody supposed to be anyway.
and then we went downstairs to an office that had officially closed at 1700 so using it to print an exam scheduled to go on for another half hour was bloody clever but hey that worked out.
so the teacher has a paper copy of my exam.
and I will take this as a learning experience.

I like my computer. Granted it's a mess sometimes but it's my mess. It does what I tell it to, almost always, mostly, basically.
So, anyway, then I went down to the library to, well, type all this and TELL THE INTERNETS MY DRAMA!!!
... and the 10th Doctor walked in.
... granted, not literally, but there's a guy who works here who, as far as I can tell, cosplays every day. Very successfully. With the right suits and ties and hair even.
So, you know, my day was surreal.

PS I has my sonic screwdriver in my bag. Because I needed for making calm. I should have soniced the sodding computer.
... it's 11's screwdriver. I caught myself thinking 10 shouldn't ought to see it because of Spoilers.

... oh bugger, the bloke from the office walked off with the handouts he considerately got me a copy of at the start of the lesson. That was helpful. *headdesk*
... my next year at uni already faces a slight hiccup...
