I have extra large plot bunny of how to make Chaos Bleeds into an interesting, character based, multiply slashy and actually readable story. I'm typing the bunny now. But I don't know if I should post it as bunny or find a co-writer to, erm, well, do the part with all the words actually. Since I have three five about thirty unfinshed stories on the go right now already.

It's a good bunny because it makes Ethan a central character instead of a plot device. His team is Ethan, Giles, Buffy, Willow, Xander and Andrew (and there is a logical reason for this). The opposing team is... half of the plot twists. And the ending involves Andrew saving the day in a way none of the other characters could. But still being Andrew.

The pairings are also a lot of the plot twists, but Ethan/Giles obviously included.

Today I like this bunny. But it will never get beyond summary stage by me writing it. Too many people.

words: 2054
creepiness factor: currently in the 'glad I don't eat meat' range
chances of this leading to sex: still disturbingly high.

Currently the author thinks this is not the story to turn into something steamy.
Ethan has a stronger stomach than me.

I think (for all that's worth) I'm about 2/3 done. Which is remarkably rapid for me. I think the trick is I'm not trying to write THE story, just A story. And usually after this many words I'd only have done the introduction to something really huge, but this time I'm concentrating on one incident rather than, say, Ripper's entire time in London. Is much easier to call something finished then.

Thinking on Halloween again, it occured to me, it would be very simple and consistent to make there be no permanent damage at the end of the day. Read more... )
Thing of it is, that makes Ethan be not so very bad after all. Read more... )
But.

I kind of like Ethan being twisty. I like his edges. I like that he'll turn the world upside down and not try and catch anyone who falls off. It makes him a more interesting character.

It also makes it really, really difficult to get him back with Giles without either corrupting Giles or reforming Ethan. Read more... )

*sigh* now I'm being really obvious from being awake too long. Going now.

PS Journal entries: 400
