Warrior Water

ANYways, why this was all interesting is- either I was Vuldarian and didn't know it, and that was why Guy was protecting me in the first place, but something about his presence triggered my transformation. Or the armour is simply contagious under the right circumstances. Cause I didn't drink any Warrior Water (that I know of).
(Yes, I know it was a dream and they frequently lack internal logic. Go with me here, its a story.)
Guy being the only Vuldarian on the planet, fair enough, the only one to survive the transformation. Guy being the only one to carry the genes? Not so likely. And making a many thousand year breeding program to make only *one* last-of-the-race Guy? Not such the good idea. Because there are standard and approved strategies for not being the last of your race, and they involve a lot of girls. Unless Vuldarians really can get pregnant. If they designed the original problem to be non-recurring then they would plan for a hermaphroditic offspring who could continue the race even if they were the last. So the whole Girl Gardner thing could be Dementor with an 'I know something you don't know' funny.
But if not, if Guy is just a Guy, there need to be girl-Vuldarians. And lots of sex. And making all the girls go far away and drink the water would be logical only if you do not in fact want the experiment to work. If you just want someone altered only enough to carry a fully Vuldarian child then Guy could be carrying around a set of triggers without knowing it, and trigger the transformation in a suitable girl. And then there would be sex.
Not that I'm obsessed with sex and Guy Gardner. But come on, isn't 'Hey, I'm the last of my race, I must breed!' right up there with 'All our men died. Happy.' in the cliche alien chat up lines?
