WIP: A New Man Too, part 1

Summary: 'A New Man' from Ethan's point of view, starting with why he was in Sunnydale in the first place, and why he was in that crypt.
Unbetaed. This might end up being another false start. I have a whole heap of them. But unlike the rest this one feels like a complete scene of itself, so even if I end up tweaking it into being a ficlet of itself, it is still worth posting.
The way the demon talks is supposed to be matching Ethan's "you know demons. It's all exaggeration and blank verse." I'd like to know if it works. Is the closest to verse I can manage but doesn't fit the dictionary.com definition.
