Okay, have been thinking on the great big mess that is The Very Bad Thing they did to Beetle and the less bad but still meta screwed thing they're doing to B&B over in the not-JL. Like, set up the gay, blow them up and kill them. Or set up the gay, have them have screaming great rows and hate each other and send them to hell. That's kind of messed up (to put it mildly).

But it can be read as have them not act on the gay, get cranky and deny the gay, end up in hell (or leave behind and get killed... okay, that works less well, but) SO, the fix is obviously for them to act on their deep and abiding love, and then all will be well, no more hell, and no more being blowed up or... you know.

I realise that acting on deep and abiding love is easier if both parties have a physical body, but so very far from impossible even in the DCU without it, so. That's my fix.

Booster save Beetle. Booster and Beetle happily ever after. Then the meta is not punishment for gay but punishment for repression.

Otherwise, it makes me sicker every time I think on it.
