Have re-read all the notes that don't require me to actually watch Psycho.
Am now creeped out all over again.
I mean I'm sitting and rocking here. Not much, but some. And my shoulders are up around my ears.

And the really dumb part is that I'm fairly sure if I'd explained the problem to the teacher properly at any point *before* the absolute last week of the course I could probably have changed the focus or something. I don't know. But I just tried to ignore the problem in the vague hope it would go away. Nope, not going.

I mean it isn't like the notes were actually helpful. Silence of the Lambs creeped me out so bad I've mostly got comments on her clothes and jewelry writ down in my notes, along with asides about how much I was stuttering and how I'd made my hands sore with the nervous hands gestures. So now I'm wound up with no academic usefulness. Annoyance.

I liked Strangers on a Train. nice PG rated creepy where the bad guy gets karma in the end. But I have to compare it with the not Classic Realist, not karma, later on films, and I don't *like* those. Films are good because they have that structure and they pay off and if you are good you get good and if you are bad you get bad. Nice and simple and straightforward.

Most of my actual movie collection is U or PG rated. All the rest are fantasy type stuff. Creepy ghosty stuff scares me much less than creepy serial killer stuff, and creepy aliens and/or demons scare me least of all, because really the odds on meeting demons? Not so high.

Well, I say they scare me least. There was that time I was watching Hellraiser and the walls started creaking. That was unfair. But *aside* from that, least scary.

Sorry, venting in a boring way.

If I sat down and started to do the timed essay now I'd be completely finished by lunch time. I'd probably get crappy marks, but I'd be finished. But if I invest an extra couple of hours revision I'd get better marks. And since Cultural Studies is what I want to study at university I really should get better marks.

I wonder if there's any room for extra credit projects on an Access course... I could hand in a crappy exam and a detailed comparative analysis of Angel episodes with classic and modern Film Noir... Well, if I had another week. Having only a day it would be more of a hasty, superficial, provisional comparison. Not so helpful.

Okay, back to the upsetting movie.

I was just reading this, and I misread "imagining the two of them five years from that point, when Willow had to confess to a tearful Tara that though it'd been fun, she really wanted the normal family life and kids that come with being with a man."
As
"that come with being a man."

hello plotbunny...
filing it here for later, since I really need to be doing that exam I've revised for all day.
