it always irritates me when Immortals go all wah about how everyone else dies. Like that only happens to Immortals? ( Read more... )

Richie might be being naive when he has his little speech about the things he would see, but he was also right. Because the near death experiences, friends dying, and infertility are all things all people have to live with *anyway*, and Immortals at least get a shot at living with them for a *very long time*.

Rule of crossovers: However much character X fancies the new character, however much it helps the exposition for the people that don't read X's half of the fandoms, however much the author wants to make a particular point, friends don't tell strangers that friends committed a capital crime. Especially with names and details.

Willow killed two men. Multiple murders in California = death by lethal injection. Plus the flaying thing probably fits as 'exceptionally cruel'.

Xander telling anyone about it, especially some guy he met in a bar? Never never never.

Now I'm looking for Buffyverse&Angelverse/Highlander crossover fic.
Not that I'm planning to write any.

Though some of the character dynamics make interesting comparisons, and there are some nice challenges in getting them to fit together, and some interesting opportunities.


Duncan said there weren't any vampires or werewolves or demons, yesno? Different occasions. So any xover would have to account for Immortals not meeting wierdness.

What if everything else can sense Immortals the way they sense each other, and, I don't know, thinks they smell bad, or reacts the way vermin are supposed to to those ultrasonic thingies for keeping your lawn clear? Maybe even subconsciously. Just kind of clear out of the way.

Or of course there's the ever popular 'portal' option.
Or Dawn-as-key-smooshes-universes-together.
The day after Buffy's big dive, there's this whole unexpected city appears in the northwest. Or maybe 2. Go big, crossover with Seacouver and Cascade both.

Richie's first sword lesson

lesson the first - balance
lunge, made him off balance, Mac demonstrated and he ended up on his knees
lesson the second - protect your neck
parry was too low, Mac showed him to bring it higher to protect his neck, never go lower or the other guy gets a clear shot

1) this is why its out of character for The Bad Thing to even be possible.

2) I seem to have absorbed this for my Ripper First Times fic. Ripper meets Randall, first lesson is balance. And then he loses his head.


also just now noticed, the first section is in different clothes to the 'Annie's favourite move' section, so Richie trained for more than one day to get good enough for that fight. Or, you know, continuity error, but that interpretation adds nothing to the story.


in other news, I have a headache that made me make ouch noise when I stood up just now. I took paracetamol. I'm hoping that works.
I've had a bath today so I'm all clean.
