Feb. 9th, 2006 05:32 pmso, you know that sociology unit I was so enthused about?
the one where I actually preferred the reading to Highlander?
the one where I *did* reading, in advance and everything?
We're not doing that unit.
*headdesk*
*headdesk*
*headdesk*
What we were told last week was not in fact accurate, due to things all changing. We are instead doing Education. Which, so far, plenty interesting. But... reading! Wah!
Teach sympathises and assures me we do Media next, so the reading is not wasted.
I sulk anyway.
*sigh*
I would like this course better if it were better organised.
Things at college keep on changing, and it seems like nobody really knows how anything works. It isn't very helpful. It very isn't helpful. Full of help would be if things sat still for long enough for all the staff to know what they were doing. And then maybe tell us.
/whine
actual content of class, all full of data. History of UK education, early industrial revolution through to mid 1980s. With a video.
I made many notes.
Thatcher is very annoying.
But every policy has its pros and cons.
Shall later start doing the actual relevant reading.
Need a new highlighter pen first. My yellow one ran out.
college, fun!
