The Ribos Operation
Feb. 28th, 2007 10:08 pmHave seen this one before. Still fun.
Romana was really annoying to start with.
Good shoes though. Strappy. Though our first view of her being the shoes-to-face slow pan rather made me *facepalm*.
The white dress though... not my style.
I quite like the Seeker as a costume. White face with black makeup, including lines of tears, which could be made sparkly without either diverting too much from original pattern or buying new things (cause I've got a drawer full of sparkly press on tears)(because I am that goth).
Plus big gold horns.
And you get to wave bones at people and pronounce their DOOOOOOOOOM!!!
Basically, made of win.
I shall start collecting gold foil at once.
... the thing about DW costumes, the odds of matching the original production values are really quite high.
I like the little wand for finding the Key to Time. It's got nice tiles on the handle and a glow stick up the middle. Basically just need to find some clear plastic tubing and sorted.
... actually, I don't quite know where to find that, but I'm sure DIY stores have something.
Next I have to decide if now is a good time to sleep (with get-up-for-college at 0645 tomorrow)(although I've had three hours sleep already, so *shrugs*) or if I should watch the next disc.
Boxed sets = win.

Pirate Planet
Feb. 28th, 2007 11:06 pmKiller robot parrot! Wins!
... er, I kind of like this one.
all the costumes look very B7. Guess they're thrifty.
Romana refers to herself as a Time Lord.
Not Lady. Term therefore gender neutral.
Obvious fun theory - gender is as optional as species.
(Of course they all look like humans when we're looking. Suspect TARDIS translation works for people as well as language ;-) )
Newton's Revenge = splat!
:-)
(Doctor/Newton *facepalm*)
58044 684884 = Terra, Sol, coordinates
I like the evil queen. Every story needs an evil queen.
I like the wibblyvision of Doooooooooom.
(every story needs doooooom)
heeee, spanner in the works!
see obviously this was worth staying awake for.
Romana costume watch: this time she is pink. Oh dear.
So "you shall be avenged" seems to be a theme, along with extremely slashy farewells.
I like where the segment was hiding. Heh.
I quite like the costumes that mostly look like a sheet over their heads with a big round hole for the head and a rope belt.
It's possible this is weird.
Doctor: "Clever, eh?"
Romana: "Fantastic"
... not that that's a keyword or anything.
I quite like this one. Lots of running around, some spectacular technobabble, and an evil queen. Nice.
Now to do that 'sleep' thing as would be highly recommended before college.
