Torchwood on Breakfast TV - new clip!
... yeah, it feels a whole lot like having seen the whole episode now. Hope they kept some surprises.

Then two clips we've already seen on the website.
Also there's Naoko and Eve doing interviews. Which is probably good. But as per usual I needed the loo at an inconvenient moment.
Never mind, my new and improved recording machine is recording it all :-)

If I can figure out how to share I will... have to put it on a disc and then figure out how to upload and stuff.

There's more than one 'John' in the world. There's more than one John in Torchwood. Even if you exclude RPS possiblities. I think two of them ended up corpses but in fic world that makes no difference. John Ellis from "Out of Time", John Tucker from "Everything Changes", and now spoiler John. Listing pairing as Jack/John is therefore of somewhat limited use.

I mean, granted, as far as we know John Tucker met Jack for two minutes in the rain surrounded by bright lights and the whole rest of his team, but if anyone can manage / in that situation, it's Captain Jack.

Slight tangent - we know Jack acquired the name at some point, it's not his original name. So, do you reckon he thinks of himself as Jack now?

I vaguely remember a Batman cartoon where he knew his hallucinations weren't really his because they called him Bruce. Whereas clearly he wouldn't think of himself as Bruce at all.

Do you think Jack's the Captain? Or something else? Or grown into Jack Harkness, like a married name or username or something?

The weird thing about what happens to Jack - the other weird thing, aside from the whole return from death thing which has significant weirdness of its own - is it seems to be shy.

Suzie steps past him; he wakes behind her back. Lisa drops him, turns, has his team's full attention. After the retina scan the team focused on the computer. And it's only then the rush of life comes back.

After Abaddon? Gwen cradles his corpse, Owen examines it, Ianto prepares him for his drawer. Gwen sits vigil. Not a moment to himself, until, finally...

I think this was a great kick off to a new season with a potentially new audience. I also think if everything is exactly like this they'll have lost bits I was watching for. But Torchwood does not equal everything exactly like anything, so methinks I'm pretty safe there.


Now I really want to rewatch, but I have very much tired and am awake 4 hours later than I was yesterday and my head hurts even after the painkillers and I've kind of got my eyes closed already. But I have recorded it. So I can go watch it again. As much as I want.

the Jobs thingy on the Torchwood site has started working. the game looks interesting - there's video clips where Ianto talks to you, I'm happy - but there's also looking at everyone's emails.
So far Jack's spam filter is most amusing. "From: Sales Re: Your order with Hot Toys" ... yes Jack, that's obviously spam.

There's stuff in the other folders too. It looks like it's the new Torchwood.org.uk but with an actual useable interface. Neat.

ooooh, report from the Himalayas! Awesome! It's under episodes, filed with the first episode stuff, for some reason.

Have figured out first mission, yaays!
... actually I figured it out some time ago and had the window crash and decided to look at all the clues in case it was more complicated but it wasn't so, figured.

All these little videos do not agree with my computer. most annoying. so I'm using Internet Explorer for it, and then when it crashes Firefox is still working. still would rather it just work.

... er, yes, I was going to sleep, wasn't I...
