Torchwood are the charming villains

Remember when we first met Torchwood and they nearly destroyed the world?
... and yes, that sentence could apply equally well to DW or season 1 TW.
They've got all the shiny toys, they're pretty, they're powerful, they're above the law, they can cover up murder and wipe out memories and live, they think, without consequences... until it catches up with them after all.

Compare with TW 2-01 and the arc of a certain guest character.

You know this is another reason I like older characters - teenagers haven't had halfway near enough time to build up the really meaty issues.


The only thing is I tend to reconstruct the guys in my head so they both think they're right. There's less room for that here. Sort of.

How many rewatches?

I forgot to take paper and now have Torchwood notes written all up my arm. After my bath. This was not my best planning.

Okay, I have run out of steam for another page.
... it's not obsession, it's close reading...
... *looks shifty and changes subject*...

My nice new recorder is all kinds of fun. Unfortunately either it blips the sound and freezes the picture at random or there's something wrong with my TV. The shop is sending someone round on Monday to see if they find out; the 'at random' part is practically guaranteed to mean it won't misbehave for them. *sigh*

But aside from that I have a huge and shiny picture to watch. Am pleased.
