Feb. 7th, 2008 02:05 amSometimes I read other people's reviews and I'm all, like, "I did not see that show. Why are you not seeing same show I am? You'd like it!" But I'm pretty sure I can't go around telling people what to see. So then I'm sad.
I think part of the fun of being a fan is finding a reading that you like. I mean, sometimes the show will do something a bit extreme and you can't quite follow it around the curve, but mostly it's more fun finding the version to like than finding lots of things you don't like and then, er, not liking them.
Except for politics stuff. Then it's not actually harmless to ignore the readings that harsh your squee.
Seeing the fun version may not work well as a predictor. I mean, I think the optimal solution to Torchwood's relationship problems involves a really big bed and a rota. Yet so far we've only had, er, Huh. Come to think, if any show would go there, it is indeed Torchwood.
... I love this show...
