Oh look, it's my least favourite day.
No telling me not-true things, okay?
Not funny.

Last year the Torchwood.org.uk website provided more data, some of it totally random or tenuously connected, all of it sketching in the world around Torchwood. All of it making that world look darker and more twisted.

This year the Torchwood Jobs website provided more data, all carefully tied in. And most of it was just funny. Kids could play there. There was none of the extreme creepy you could get on the season 1 site.

Yes? No? Maybe?

Empire reckons Buffy is the 2nd greatest TV show of all time.
Cool.
Firefly is 14th - which is pretty good going for a half season show.
and Doctor Who is 16th, which is mad, for it clearly should be 1st. I mean, cultural impact! Longevity! Sonic screwdrivers! I bet people just forgot to vote for it on account of it's always around.
;)

But, Buffy is 2nd greatest. Pretty cool.

Dear Internets:
I don't mind if you make me style=mine you. I have Firefox with the LJ plugin, I can style=mine the internets quite happily. Granted, I have no comprehension of why you designed your page in two shades of brown so close to each other they're camouflaged, but hey, whatever, your page your style.

I would really really like it if you didn't make the fonts stay small when I do style=mine.

The culprit is the (font size=). I don't know why that turns up so much. I use the HTML pane of the Post page on LJ and it doesn't put any garbage in as I don't expect, so I don't know which other tools you are using that add in that font size tag on each and every single line of your page. But it makes things illegible without a lot of further mucking about. And generally speaking, while I'll go one extra click for fic, making the whole page bigger with yet more buttons just tends to irritate too much to seem worthwhile.

And it seems so antisocial. In fact to a hand coder it seems like you put in extra effort to make the rest of us have to put in extra effort to read your fic, which is mostly in many very small parts with the same coding on each so we have to press buttons every single time. It's... the opposite of encouraging. And I'm beginning to treat it the same way I treat pages that combine pink and purple, ie run away and don't look back.

... no, I don't know why I bother, since it's not my f-list that do this. But people posting to comms? Yeesh. Tiny microscope fonts all over the place.

Yeah, I probably complained about this already quite recently. Meh.

Blaines just phoned. They'll be delivering at quarter past five.
... I have been awake all day waiting for their morning delivery.
I am not amused.

My recorder hath returned!
And it has all my stuff in it still.
She said it needed a software update.

I... will eventually test it, but for right now if I leave it sitting there I can pretend it's all shiny and worky and stuff.
*sigh*

I did point out it has taken ridiculously long to get here and she said she'd talk to one of the shop guys about extending the guarantee. Yes. That would be nice.

I was polite. Was not shouty. Go me.
