Essay: done!

My essay is proof read (only by me this time, I'm not sure I'll be able to hang around long enough tomorrow to get someone at college to read through it), printed out, packed and ready.

In other words, I am done.

*happy dance*

So, got it done, has quotes in it, is under the word count by all of 2 words, and I think I got the bibliography right, though I'm not 100% sure about the DVD cite. The form on the UEA library website is different than on the CCN library website is different than in the handout. But I'm pretty sure I put in what is needed to go get the same DVD out, so that's the basics covered.

Now I have... 16 hours until the hand in office closes. And, um, nine before it opens. Useful.

Tomorrow I have to get to the bus stop, get to Norwich, get to city college, drop books at library (and check the bibliography with a librarian, for they are smart), hand in essay at office, get back to bus stop, get to the UEA, go to the library, hand in books, get out more fun books, do something until 1900, go to Dr Who class, do something between 2100 and 2130 in the library, then hope my helper person finds me this time and then go home.

Also, all of that, hope my back continues to work.

... corsets have their up and down side. I shall have to consider.

I had planned to simplify the list by getting helper person to drive me places, but since I'd said the other week I had stuff to do on Wednesdays, she has a dentist appointment. So I could get taxis and spend a bunch of money. I have the money, so I'm seriously considering that.

I should probably put the money in the account I can get money out the wall for. Or make sure it's there already.


I'm now all free of academic projects for... ooh, about 19 hours. Cause then the Dr Who course essay assignment gets handed out.

I shall be very surprised if I have no ideas for an essay about Dr Who.

There's all sorts of interesting, and I've been reading the handouts and books from the reading list, which always helps.

Now I can go back to doing that.


My fandom participation has been on hold for all these college weeks.
I should finish up the transcripts and read some more fic and stuff.

am up, dressed, and ready to go.
Hand in office closes at 1600, but taxis are fully booked for the school run unless I want to get there for 1445, so I said okay. I think I'd rather get there early than maybe get half way there and have my back decide the backpack is no good to carry.
I think I'm okay, but doing things stupidly or doing unnecessary things is not of the good at this time. Not until the essay is handed in and I can be sure I've passed the year.

I appear to have run out of easy food. I've got food, it just doesn't assemble into a meal.
And I'm supposed to be smart :eyeroll:

I'll get something at college. Probably. They're not always great with the food having.
I have marmite breadsticks. I'll get some kind of sugar drink and call it all breakfast.


UEA lesson doesn't start until 1900, but there's no way to avoid that whole long wait in Norwich, so another 45 minutes of it isn't significant.
... wonder what episodes I've got on the laptop at the moment...

better idea - once at UEA can attempt to contact person I've not managed to talk to in person lately despite being on same message board every day.

Today we studied Tom Baker.

Now there's a guy wher eyou get an interesting argument about Star Image and interactions with reality/other roles.

There was more stuff off the DVD extras.
Now I know I hasn't much watched the extras, but I theoretically could have. Coming to university mostly to learn those same things, not so much fun as newness.
Um, looking for newness in the study of DW, possibly not the thing.

I'm a bit snippy cause of tired. And also I knew an obscure fact and could have answered a question real good but my talking was not quick enough to boot up. But I did actually know the Dostoevsky connection to Genesis of the Daleks cause I read About Time last week. Er, I don't know if I can spell it, but.

We watched the even ruder bit from Creature from the Pit.

And enough of the start of Leisure Hive to make me wonder why I remember liking that one.
Looooooooooong long long longest long crawling along we need to see more beach and deckchairs whyyyyyyyyy shot. And then we go to Argolis and they talk about finance. This is not the way to draw people in to the story. Well, not most people. Somebody somewhere will like anything.

We got the essay questions. There's a whole bunch of them. Also, 15 is one you can make up yourself, if you ask him. And hand in day is last day of course, so we have a bunch of weeks. I can totally do this.
Hmmm, for City College we have learning outcomes... which bit of paper has those on... er, probably the one I got signed by Sylvester McCoy, come to think...

I am waiting in the library in the hopes my employee will this time follow the plan. Last time she phoned the library and got a librarian to wait with me outside in an area not much visited. Then she got lost and went the wrong way around a one way system.

... sometimes I wonder why I has employee.

I'll post this and then copy out my essay questions. Because clearly y'all want to know.
