Today has thus far actually worked #xfingers#
Woke up at 0600, made it to the bus at 0735, arrived college about 0820.
Catching a later bus last week resulted in arriving at college at 0915. But it was only a few minutes later, not a whole hour, so it's just one of those bus timetables screw with spacetime things.
Class was interesting. Teach brought a plastic thingy to put on my laptop's power cable. Except the plastic thingy would then conceal the power block, which is sort of important not to step on and I think makes heat so I'm not pleased with covering that up. But teach says health and safety says cables must be covered with plastic thingy. I was happy with sitting in arm's reach of the plug and unplugging whenever there's a human, but apparently no, insufficient. Instead of putting the block safely up on the desk it has to go on the floor under a plastic thingy. And we couldn't just move the desk over six inches so there's no gap to trip on because teach would like me involved with the class as much as possible. So would I, but the fact remains nobody talks to me, sits next to me, or is in range to read my laptop or communicate with me, even when specifically instructed to do so, so I don't see how a plastic thingy is a better plan. I was supposed to be working in a group today, which with the laptop means the group was supposed to go sit next to me and work with me, and teach told them to, but they didn't. It's very hard to work in groups if the group persistently pretends you don't exist. But they probably think I don't exist, because I don't speak, and they won't read, so we have no communication in common.
I did speak out loud in class a bit. I stutter a bit. I'm fed up of it a bit.
I'd like to have more smarter thoughts to be saying. It's such a bloody uphill struggle I'd like the feeling it was worthwhile launching such things into the universe.
Class was also interesting in actual academic ways. I am learning stuff. I like it when that happens. Also even if I'm stupid out loud teach says smart stuff in reply to it, so that works out.

It should be Star Trek time. If I lived nearer college I could go home and have Star Trek. But noooooo.
