I just spent a couple hours writing a 3300 word outline of What Happens Next
which includes four deaths and at least two tangled romances
and
only just leads up to the bit of the story that I thought was the story when I sat down to write.
this novel is ... well, a bit longer than I thought.
I think I think up enough plot for a season on TV, and then write it in prose.
It's a bit long that way.
