games ate my brain
Sep. 5th, 2011 10:17 amthat game I said yesterday was really boring? I just played that game for a little over ten hours.
turns out if you treat the complicated keys and options as a puzzle game it gets interesting. sort of.
... I really really need to develop the ability to quit
*facepalm*
it's just a stupid dungeon crawl and you just kill all the monsters and dress up pretty but with magic bonuses.
I have been staring at it a very very long time.
everything swings back and forth because someone thought that would make them look more alive
so now my regular computer screen is swimmy
... yes it's my eyes, that's not a good thing, oh dears
also I don't know what happened to my weekend but I hope it wasn't supposed to involve any doing of things.
I haven't even done the watching of things.
If I'd spent the last ten twelve hours reading fanfic like I did all summer I'd be just as much older but feel like it was a much more productive use of time. why is that? I mean, it's pixels doing imaginary things either way.
also yesterday the alarm guy was here. the alarm box in the hall was going beep once every five seconds and there were two yellow lights on it. The lights turned out to mean that not all the fire alarm sounders were working. so the alarm guy had to visit. on a sunday. I did say sorry. but then he had to go in every flat and poke the sounder to see if it worked. Three flats were not accessible that evening, and he reckoned whatever the fault was it were in one of them. So that was productive.
In theory I still have a novel to finish.
In practice I think I'll have to unplug the computer and ignore the new netbook and all even just to proof read what I've got already.
distractions eats my brains.
*sigh*
