why am I reading this?

am reading a fic
author cannot tell apart many commonly confused things
such as to/too, due/do, your/you're
also chemical, poison, bacteria, virus
and their general grasp of science is... well, had I their level of understanding, I would not have put a scientific mystery at the heart of the plot.

So why am I even reading this?

... because I can't get to sleep and I seem to have read everything else in this pairing.
(or not. Ao3 searches currently limited. keep finding things that look the same but are actually a different universe where all the characters interact differently or are different ages or something.)

also: high school AUs with Tony Stark bump into the problem that he wasn't in high school for very long, or at the age most people go there. Making everyone the same age and putting them in lessons together just kind of undoes Tony. he is uber smart, that's, like, the defining feature there.

... many writers seem to think defining feature is 'looks like RDjr'
... as a teenager???
... so much hotter now.

I should just sleep.
Fic will be just as bad in the morning.
