How to get a council house
Aug. 5th, 2013 09:28 pmI'm watching How to get a Council House and it's making me feel guilty for trying to get rehoused.
Except I was trying to get rehoused because I was living opposite a heroin dealer in a building that got set on fire a couple times a year since I moved in so I think guilty is not the correct response.
Angry? I think angry suits better. How is the housing need so radically outstripping the housing supply? It's a basic requirement, a necessity, and it's exactly the sort of thing we have a government for, because we can't each up and build our own social housing so we vote for people to do the big projects for everyone.
If I win on the premium bonds I'm going to buy a bunch of places to let the housing association rent out because people need places. Except without winning on the premium bonds I can't do anything helpful at all.
