Life is really slow when you're waiting
Jun. 28th, 2014 11:38 pmToday I finished a book (it took me a few days because it was even more rape and murder focused than the rest of the author's work, and didn't exactly end with a win), played a lot of computer game (finished a Cake Mania, played one story of Tradewinds Caravans, which I had to buy over again because the sodding unlock codes stopped working on all the old Sandlot games), and listened to a Doctor Who audio.
It was Trial of the Valeyard, because that was the next one I hadn't listened to. All the way through I was hoping they'd come up with some kind of reason to want to listen to more Time Lords on trial and why we should ever give a damn about the Valeyard, but sadly, for this listener, no. I was wondering who they even thought would want to spend a whole CD on making up more Gallifreyan background that may or may not be true centered around a character who didn't make sense in the first place, but then I remembered, this is a subscriber bonus CD: people who are still subscribing to classic Doctor Who stories, is who. So, okay, they know their market.
I was still really, really, bored.
One of the houses I've been trying to go view is no longer listed on rightmove, so I guess that one isn't The One.
I continue to wait for one house that fits my criteria. Which is frustrating, seeing as there were several every month until I actually was proper looking.
On the plus side, this is the size of my problems, so, you know, win.
