Winning

Today I finished the Sunday jobs and did the Tuesday jobs. Including the vacuum cleaning, which I did within ten minutes of waking up and before my alarm clock went off, because otherwise I would probably hide from it a lot. And now the dishwasher and the washing machine are running, though as usual there's two more loads to go after this on account of blankets.

And I just had lunch even.

I don't have any apple things today because I didn't need the food delivery, but aside from that, excellent day.

An 8 and Charley story where the most I can complain of is a probable Bechdel fail is quite a surprise.

That story was a Doctor Who story and pretty okay and had lots of bits I liked.

There's a lot of hidden assumptions in use of different techs.

I use email to contact people. Writing is good, email is fast and cheap, they have an email address listed, I assume they want to receive email.

... I have complained already many times about the people who only use email to say 'use the phone'.
Except they usually phrase it 'contact us' or ask for a phone number so they can 'contact' me.
As if email doesn't count.

So I emailed somewhere lately to ask which of the bazillion forms on their website I needed for the thing I needed. The page said to email them and they could send me the form. So I emailed and they asked for my address so they could send the form.
... I had assumed they meant 'send' as in 'choose one pdf off this list and attach it'. They thought 'send' as in 'make paper and use snail mail'. The words don't distinguish.

Communication is changing because the means are changing, but the words aren't always keeping up.
