Well that was tedious

Spent the morning waiting, with varying degrees of grumping, for my newest computer to Auto Update.
It is Windows 10 1803 now and I think working? Probably?
It has all sorts of rubbish already installed. I uninstalled the candy games. I don't know what some of the other bits are. Guess I'll have to look them up. All I want it to do is read Ao3 and do word processing, I dont get why I have to keep upgrading the thing to do the same old same old.

Also, I am ridiculous, and have stopped fiddling with the new computer because it is New and therefore Scary and I need a break.

Even though all it has been doing is sitting on the desk doing Auto Update all morning.

Makes me anxious.

Eh, once it is working I can read in bed much easier than with the big laptop.
So that'll work fine.

(no subject)

I am not temperamentally suited to reading the novella equivalent of a disaster movie. I just had to skip to the end to see if they lived. And now I'm fiddling about on the internet instead of keeping going, because tense.

Also, the proper laundry capsules are no longer available and I had to try a new sort. And when I pulled the laundry out to do the drying I got a really vivid smell memory of grandma's bathroom. The air freshener, not anything nastier, but still. I did not know I remembered that. That is... not optimal.

Also the stupid packet was sort of slimy even after I wiped it and I couldn't open it right for ages and I am not sure I sealed it again and I dumped the whole lot in a box to be sure.

But if the thing I wanted isn't existing any more then I will just have to keep trying until something acceptable appears.

I am grump though.

Have finally finished reading this issue.
The last story took four tries, because I kept stopping to tell myself Things I Know About The Flash etc, because that was very tense.
