Like if the characters just go from angry yelling to kissing, no build up or conflicted feelings or that shoved against a wall breathing too hard thing even, just, angry yelling kiss.
"If he thought about it, [hero] had no idea how it had come to this," it says
and I'm like, yeah, me neither.
I mean the rest is fine, building trust and that, but this specifically makes me want to give them helpful leaflets or something. Feelings: Not All Of Them Are Shouting.
I mean I'm not even saying nobody could be this oblivious, but it leaves the reader with quite the sharpish turn to follow them round.
