today so far
Apr. 13th, 2020 06:14 amYoutube seems to be recommending things for someone very much not me.
also if I wanted to watch the news I would not go to youtube so why is an entire row of recommendations just Boris Johnson staring at me?
makes me wish I'd got an account i stead of just using the smart tv, because now I dont know where half the flash videos I've watched a bazillion times might be hiding.
I went on the iplayer and watched the next Doctor Who in my own rewatch, which was Daleks in Manhattan.
That one is not a classic.
I mean I'd forgotten... basically all of it? The human Dalek? which you'd think eas memorable.
The bit with the Hooverville was A Lot though. I mean, that is the way to do a historical, while underlining the topically relevant.
Makes me worried about the economy.
... I know I can't work, but I can worry.
The bit where random stranger assumes Martha is dating the Doctor because of how she looks at him still seems odd to me. I mean, do people do that? Is that information humans assume they can get from eye contact?
The bit where she assumes he likes musical theatre
is amusing.
... but not just because he isn't dating Martha.
I dont know. Why do I not like the romantical bits? I guess because the story isn't the arc in the mutually unrequited tag, you know, where they're both assuming they're not good enough for each other, but oh wait, look, who would have guessed, for the thousandth time they are, and always have been.
It's pretty much the opposite of that. Like, sometimes people don't fall in love, fair enough, lets have an adventure instead, but this season is more like, here is a whole season of why they aren't good enough for each other, yes somehow both at once, look, it'll never work.
don't like it.
I am a grumpy today.
Yesterday I played The Sims and forgot the clock was a real thing. That was fun, ish. I played the Strangerville arc, the one with a plot and a boss battle. I dislike how the most difficult bit of the whole thing is getting four Sims to the same place at the same time, that wasn't very interesting at all.
Also frustrating is that I didn't get the achievement because I did things in a weird order. If you get a keycard without swapping a dossier for it you run out of easy ways to get evidence and then you dont progress rhe ambition even when you win the storyline. So to finish the ambition I'm going to need to wake the plant up again and do the boss battle over again.
But if you talk enough to be friends first you can ask the big plant to youth you, so that's kind of handy.
... I need another game. One with more plots and things to do.
But also the option to hang around in your house makign it pretty and planting things.
Don't know which games let you do both...
Anyways, onwards.
I have looked at the poll replies and plan to watch a thing that is not Doctor Who later.
But I really need to do laundry today.
Like, all the laundry.
So much.
So, hopefully I'll go do that...
