Pathfinder adventure with Harrow

I started reading the beginning of Curse of the Crimson Throne
and there's a whole extra rule about Harrow cards and Harrow points
and times you get bonuses from the cards
built in to the story
so I dont know if you can actually ignore it because stats
and I'm just
ugh

like, I know I usually like rules to play with
but I did not open this book in order to memorize a Harrow deck.

... I already have so many rules to not understand...

Stories where the one and only thing stopping them being happy together is nobody uses their words are just so frustrating.
The one I'm reading right now doubly so, because almost everyone in the story is a lie detector, and can already hear that nobody is lying when they say they love each other, so the contortions the story is going through to make it so they dont believe it are just
ugh.

I know I'm the one who chose to read it
but it had a perfect set up for 'got married then fell in love'
which would be a whole different thing.

Police partners who adopt kids together is a great setup though.
