Fort Salem season 2
Sep. 19th, 2021 05:26 amToday (and some of yesterday) I watched the whole second season of Fort Salem on the bbc iplayer.
... that thing where the next episode happens automatically is not in this case to blame, I just spent ten episodes wanting to see what happens next.
Thing is I'm still not sure how I feel about it. I dont dislike it, I like a bunch of characters, and the number of women on screen at once doing all the things and being different people cannot be beat.
Also in season 2 there's a non binary character played by a nonbinary actor, which is neat.
But they dont get to say much about this very gendered system the shows world is locked in.
I guess I'm frustrated because they have all these women but the story world makes their lives about ( Read more... )
It's like I like the cast and a lot of the parts and pieces they're building a world with, but then I would do something so entirely different I dont know if I actually like what they've done.
But it is interesting.
And I guess good to watch.
